Baljaffray Parish Church is a modern multi-purpose church in Bearsden.
The original church started as a mission to a new housing development in the Baljaffray area of Bearsden with a hall for community use and occasional worship - Bearsden North Church (Baljaffray) Hall. It was in the early 1970's that the idea of relocating the congregation of Bearsden North Church to this growing area was first mooted. The plan was delayed due to various practical difficulties and it wasn't until April 1980 that the then minister Rev. David Munro finally opened the Hall which in addition to worship offered a home to a number of community organisations.
By 1993 the congregation had established themselves and with support from the Church of Scotland finished building a church on the site of the original hall. It was opened as a Church Centre on 25th August 1993 and with a growing congregation, was finally established as a Parish Church in its own right on 25th August 2006. It continued as a linkage with Bearsden North Church until 3rd December 2006 when Bearsden North Church merged with Bearsden South Church under the new name Bearsden Cross Parish Church.
The continued congregational growth and community action meant the building with sanctuary, three halls and meeting rooms was at bursting point by 2012. An extension completed in 2014 provided a new transept to accommodate the chancel and stage area, an enlarged entrance and office.
