Geocache Description:

MILITARY SERIES – After spending 20 years in the military and retiring in 2000 as a First Sergeant from the Wisconsin Army Reserve National Guard, I decided to create this series and dedicate it to all of the men and women that served before me, with me, after me, serve today and those who will serve in future generations.

Each of the caches in this series is named after a unit, position, rank or other significant event during my military career.

One of the keys to having a strong military force, is having a force that is proficient with the weapons systems that the force has.  Over the years, I can not even begin to count how many times I have gone to the range for qualification, but I know it is well over 100 times.  So then I tried to remember all of the different types of ranges.  I have qualified at everything from the M-16 range, the pistol range, the hand grenade range, the M203 grenade range, M60 range, and the M-2 range.  I have been to other ranges and seen live fire of other weapon systems as well.  I am sure others have been to other ranges such as tank ranges.

This is a simple cache but as you grab it, if you are a veteran, lets hear about your favorite range experience.

As an example, my favorite range was the demo range where we got to blow things up using bangalore torpedoes and C4.
