Mangakino is a peaceful little settlement in South Waikato. Home of Lake Maraetai, wake boarding, water sking and part of the Waikato River Trail. Lake Maraetai is a fresh water lake and close by are great camping spots for the avid traveller. This cache is our first atempt at hiding one and is positioned close to the start of the Mangakino end of the river trail that heads off to Whakamaru. This cache is between what I call Mangakino's Pride Rock (Lion King) and the trail itself. It can be easily accessed from the trail with no bush bashing required.
You are looking for a camo'd 250ml plastic jar. Inside is a log, small pencil and a few swaps. It is well camo'd and the spot gives you a good view 360 degrees so you can keep an eye out for muggles while also giving you some cover when retreiving the cache.
Please return and hide carefully as it is close to the trail.
