If you are travelling to the Island, you will have to cross the Solent. To help pass the time and provide some light entertainment, here is a puzzle to ponder…
It is the end of Half Term and five families meet on the Isle of Wight Ferry heading back to the mainland. They are exhausted but contented; all had a fantastic holiday with many happy memories. Can you work out where each family stayed, visited and how they made their way around the Island?
The Jolliffes had a great day out at Osborne House, particularly enjoying the Swiss Cottage.
The family who stayed in a lovely B&B in Ryde and who visited the Needles were not the Wrights.
The Moreys whizzed around on mopeds and visited a tourist attraction earlier in the alphabet than the family who stayed in a chalet in Bembridge.
After a filling cream tea, the family who travelled by car, visited the Godshill Model Village.
The family who explored the Island by bus, did not learn about locomotive history at the Steam Railway.
The Coopers stayed in a boutique hotel in Newport. The family staying at a campsite in Cowes walked to their tourist attraction. Both families visited tourist attractions starting with a letter later in the alphabet than “N”.

Where (using the numbering from the original grid):
A = Accommodation location - tourist attraction for the Moreys
B = Transport + tourist attraction for the Youngs
C = Accommodation location for the Youngs + Transport for the Coopers
D = Accommodation location + tourist attraction + transport for the Moreys
E = Transport for the Moreys - accommodation location for the Wrights
F = Transport for the Wrights – Transport for the Youngs
There is room for a couple of cars near GZ. Depending on your timing, there may be an awful lot of muggles, so please be stealthy.
Note that I had to relocate the cache on 04/08/19 and the calculation for C and F had to be changed as well.
