Hemenway State Forest is a beautiful area to visit. Here you will find tall white pines and pristine forests.
Hemenway Road is not plowed in the winter but can still be accessed by snowmobile, skis, or snowshoes. At the time this cache was placed, we were able to just walk on the packed snow. You have two parking spots to choose from in winter as noted below. In the summer you can get closer to the caches by driving right down the dirt road. The terrain ratings are based on winter access.
