日本国有鉄道「士幌線」が開通したのは、大正十四年十二月でした。この78.3km線路が様々な橋と湖を渡ったり、たくさんの森林も通したり、17の駅で止めたりしました。線路は1987年に操作を停止しました。インフラストラクチャーは崩れに任せられました。それのほとんどは今や消えたけれども、様々な橋はまだ立ち、トラックのいくつかの部分もまだ見つけられます。
The Shihoro Train Line was constructed in East Hokkaido in 1925. The 78.3 kilometer line crossed over various bridges, over lakes and through forests stopping at a total of seventeen stations. The line was ceased operations in 1987 and the infrastructure was left to rot. Most of it has now disappeared but various bridges still stand and some sections of the track can still be found too.
士幌駅は士幌線の記念物として維持されています。駅の建物といくつかの車が見られます（入らないけれども）。
Shihoro Station has been maintained as a memorial of the Shihoro Line, and the station building and several rail cars can be seen (although not entered).

A small geocache has been hidden on one of the railcars. You will need to bring your own pen.
