日本国有鉄道「士幌線」が開通したのは、大正十四年十二月でした。この78.3km線路は様々な橋と湖、森のなかを通り17の駅が設けられました。線路は1987年に運行を停止しました。インフラは朽ち果てたまま残されています。そのほとんどは朽ちたけれども、様々な橋はまだ立ち、トラックのいくつかの部分もまだ見つけられます。
The Shihoro Train Line was constructed in East Hokkaido in 1925. The 78.3 kilometer line crossed over various bridges, over lakes and through forests stopping at a total of seventeen stations. The line was ceased operations in 1987 and the infrastructure was left to rot. Most of it has now disappeared but various bridges still stand and some sections of the track can still be found too.
音更町の交通公園で、士幌線の記念物として汽車、車掌車、ともう一つの不思議な車があります。車輪の配置に基づき、汽車は「モグル」又は「2−6−0」と知られているタイプです。キャッシュは汽車に隠されています。自分のペンを持参してください。
In Koutsu Park in Otofuke, a steam engine, a caboose and one more mysterious rail vehicle (purpose unknown...by the CO, at least) have been preserved to commemorate the Shihoro Line. Based on its wheel configuration, the steam engine is of a type known as a Mogul or 2-6-0 (ie two leading wheels, six driver wheels and no trailing wheels). A microcache has been hidden somewhere on the engine. Please bring your own pen.
