A Bajai-csatorna, tápcsatorna, mely Bajánál a Dunába torkollik a szerbiai Bezdánnál pedig a Ferenc-csatornába kapcsolódik. Szerbiai szakasza, a hajdani Baracska dunaág a Felső-Dunamellék Természetvédelmi Rezervátum része, még magyarországi szakasza, Sugovica a Duna–Dráva Nemzeti Park területének része. Feltehetően a Duna fő ága volt, egész a 19. századi folyószabályozások idejéig. Bajánál megépült a Deák Ferenc-zsilip, Bezdánnál pedig a Sebesfoki-zsilip. Hogy a holtág hajózható legyen az 1870-es években Türr István vezetésével Bajánál megszületett a Türr István-átvágás és Bezdánnál az úgynevezett "Keskeny". A csatornán ez idő tájt gőzhajók és evezős fahajók közlekedtek. A 20. század végére betiltották a hajózást, majd 2010 körül a motorcsónak használatát is. 🤗

The Baja Canal, which starts at Baja, flows out of the Danube and into the Ferenc Canal at Bezdan in Serbia. The Serbian section of the former Baracska Danube is part of the Upper Danube Nature Reserve, the Hungaryan part, Sugovica is part of the Danube-Drava National Park. Presumably it was the main branch of the Danube, throughout the 19th century river regulation. Deák Ferenc sluice was built at Baja, and the Sebesfok-sluice at Bezdan.
