A very nice lookout over the country side at the Ondekaremba Lodge. Should be a short and easy walk from the lodge. If you are lucky, you might spot some wildlife here, including: kudu, oryx, springbok, red hartebees, mongooses, baboons and warthog. Numerous birds can be found in this area and you can expect to see guinea fowl, herons and yellow-billed hornbills. Also to be found on the Ondekaremba farm are ostrich, white-browed sparrow weaver, bee-eaters, cormorants, Egyptian geese, rosy-faced lovebirds and shrikes. Lift up some stones, and you might find a scorpion! The baboons do the same and when they find one... They eat it!!!
So, have a nice walk and watch out for the thorn bushes!
Please replace the exact same way as hidden, thus with a stone in front and back of the cache, so that the wind can’t blow it out! Oh, and as with most micro caches: BYOP!
The manager of the lodge is aware of the geocache and has given approval of the hide. If you should encounter any problems, ask for Mr. Fanie Hawaga.
