Geocache Description:

This cache is located on Fire Department property best accessed off Executive Park Road, in a very lightly wooded area with plenty of parking. It is an official medium size container under a ceramic mushroom. While looking, if you reach Spanner's grave, then you have gone too far. Spanner was the fire department mascot in the 1970s & 80s. He would guard the fire station and greet visitors. He could sit, speak, stay, roll over, fetch, catch Frisbees and punch a button to get a coke from a machine. His picture was in Firehouse Magazine. He died of natural causes in 1986.

This cache is about bike safety. Remember to always wear a helmet when riding. Use leisure paths instead of roadways. Obey all signs and signals on roads and leisure paths. Most accidents happen at intersections and driveways - use extreme caution. Cross only at designated crosswalks.

Find the box and there is a sheet of bike reflectors for you!
