This structure derives its name from its shape and is most popularly used as a viewing platform overlooking a section of restored wetland. In the Spring of 2012, it was seriously damaged by an EF1 tornado and had to be torn down. It eventually was rebuilt using recycled wood from wine casks and eco friendly composite decking.
It is a great spot in the Spring and Fall to view migrating songbirds and waterfowl due to the varied habitat that surrounds it. Work is still being done to the wetland in this area to remove invasive plant species such as Phragmite and Broad Leaved Cattail.
