Geocache Description:

John Williamson made another song in the 1990’s called ‘Crocodile Roll’,  bet your singing that too! More classic and memorable lyrics, “down came her husband with a gun and a carving knife to slaughter every crocodile for taking his wife, you can’t go round eating Queenslanders you overgrown goannas, I’ll turn you into shoes. Crunch!!”

There has been plenty of studies conducted about Saltwater crocodiles in Australia. they have been known to travel up to 500kms from there home territory using the tides and surface currents to their advantage. Setting off about an hour after the tides/currents change to conserve energy. Smart creatures with poor eye sight, no need to work any harder than you have too, let the tools do the work.

This shouldn’t be too hard to find along this great drive in the country, there is a mown path next to GZ with a fair amount of cattle traffic. If you’re wearing khaki like the late great Steve Irwin it may come in handy. The best way to tackle one of these beasts is to get him out of his natural environment and come up from behind, pounce on his back with as many people as you can. Hopefully there will be success and no-one ends up doing the Crocodile Roll in the middle of the river. Good luck!!

Happy Caching!!
