Geocache Description:

This cache IS at the above coordinates.
You must meet the Challenge BEFORE you log the cache as found.

SAHALIE FALLS Oregon
SAHALIE FALLS ON THE WILD McKENZIE RIVER

This series of Challenge Geocaches has been placed by the Central Oregon Geocaching Group (C.O.G.G.) and is not meant to be difficult to find. The caches are located on a road with minimal traffic, but cars do come by periodically (mostly during “commute hours”). Park on the side of the road and be careful. It should take only a short time to find and sign the log.

As there is a checker provided, you will know whether you qualify at the time you log. If you qualify on the date you sign the log, then that is the date of your find. If you sign the log sheet before meeting the requirements, just post a note stating that you signed the log and don't meet the requirements, then log your find on the day the requirements have been met.

The 5.0 difficulty rating is based on having to do considerable traveling and a variety of geocaching in order to meet the requirements; the terrain rating of 1.5 is based solely on this cache location. These challenges are not intended to have a variety of D/T ratings.

The Challenge
Find 5 Different Icons in each of 10 different states.
(You may already qualify for this challenge)

Geocaching is not always about the numbers or even the "smileys" but they are part of what Geocaching is all about. Most new Geocachers stick to traditional caches before they try to expand their caching experience. When one finds a cache, there is an icon attached to it. There are different icons for different kinds of caches. The purpose of this challenge is to acquire some of these icons by finding the appropriate caches. To qualify for this challenge, you must find at least 5 different icons or cache types from the following list: Traditional, Multi, Mystery (Unknown/Challenge), Earthcache, Letterbox Hybrid, Webcam, Wherigo, Virtual, Event, CITO Event, Lost & Found Event, Mega-Event, Giga-Event, Project APE, or GPS Adventures Maze Exhibit. Then, of course, you must repeat the process in 9 additional states to bring you to a total of 10 different states. All of your cache icons count since you started caching. Your geocaching.com statistics maps page will show the number you have found, but there is a checker provided. You may cut and paste the results in your log just to speed things up for verification on our end.
