This cache has been placed for a friend in memory of her son Dylan who sadly passed 11 years ago (3.04.07-30.11.07). "Shine bright my star..."
An oppertunity to walk though the beautiful Coate Water park to this cache on the path from Coate to Hodson and take time to think of those who may have blessed our lives for however short a time.

This is the first of a number of Caches we are placing along the path to Hodsen. Coate Water Park Rangers are aware of these caches and have given permission to place it
You will need to bring a pen/pencil and a TOTT, some cachers may need more than one TOTT.
Coate Water has something for everyone with a splash park, nature reserve, walks, woodland and the lake. It's a quiet haven for wildlife with deer and foxes regularly be seen in the meadows. There are several walks in and around the park, many of which are level and surfaced - making them suitable for wheelchair users. The most popular route is around the lake. For longer walks out of the park there are routes to Hodson, Chiseldon and Barbury Castle. In the woodland you will find willow and ash with oak and birch. These trees provide an attractive backdrop to the lake and a home to many woodland birds. This is a valuable site for waterfowl and the lakes also provide a habitat for dragonflies and damselflies, along with a wide range of fish such as carp, bream and pike.
