I discovered events about 4 months after my first found geocache, because there was a souvenir awarded for finding one, but that was when everything changed! I met so many wonderful people because of events and I always encourage newbies to go and attend events in their area, to get in touch with the community.
I myself have hosted many events until this day, and I will always host events whenever I go visiting new places.
The first event I ever hosted was an amazing outcome, and I found some very kind and welcoming people, most of which I can now call MY DEAR FRIENDS!
