This is the second DGS cache in Canada. It’s a very easy mystery cache. The given coordinates aren’t those of the cache, but they will bring you very near the cache. In order to find the real coordinates, you’ll have to decode the text which will follow.
Quelques mots à propos de DGS (Dirtbag Geocaching Society). La société a été fondé en 2010 par un groupe des géocacheurs - retraités et les membres actifs de l’armée américaine – de la région de Aberdeen en Caroline du Nord. Dans l’argot de l’armée américaine, un dirtbag est un soldat dont les performances laissent à désirer. Juste pour rire, les soldats s’adressent souvent l’un à l’un en se traitant de ce nom. Les géocacheurs du groupe ont décidé de s’appeler dirtbags. Également, un peu par défi, ils ont décidé de se distinguer, en adoptant un logo spécial. Le but de la société est de promouvoir fun et géocaching de qualité.
Cette cache est dédiée aux dirtbagers allemands et néerlandais pour leur aide dans la création de la section canadienne.
Few words regarding DGS (Dirtbag Geocaching Society). The society was founded in 2010 by a group of geocachers –retired and active members of the US Army – located around Aberdeen in North Carolina. In the US Army slang, a dirtbag is a soldier whose performance is lacking. Just for fun, soldiers often address to each other as dirtbags. Geocachers of the group decided to call themselves dirtbags. They also decided to adopt a special logo which represents them. The goal of the society is to promote fun and quality geocaching.
This cache is dedicated to German and Dutch dirtbagers for their help in foundation of the Canadian chapter.
