Geocache Description:

This is the newest section of the Hickson Trail (HT). It was once part of a rail line that ran from Stratford to Port Dover. Over the years it has overgrown and remained unpassable. In the fall of 2017 a committee of volunteers started to clear the trail and raise money to buy 2 "bridges" to put over the creek in 2 separate spots along the trail. These"bridges" are made from de-commissioned transport truck beds, that have had deck boards and railings attached to enable their use as a bridge.

This Trail can be muddy at times and there are a few spots used by tractors from neighboring farms. You are welcome to hike or bike this trail but MOTORIZED VEHICLES are NOT ALLOWED at any time. At each end of this 3km long section of trail (from Braemar Sideroad north up to Hickson), there is a post at the side of the trail where there is bird seed and walking sticks. If you use a walking stick, please leave it at the other end of the trail for someone else to enjoy on their hike.

This is the first time in 60 years that April Fool's Day has fallen on Easter Sunday. We came out to place some hides for you to enjoy. We had a "rabbit" stamp, so we made this one into a Letterbox. You will need to project a very easy waypoint of 9m at 50 degrees in order to find this cache. Its easy for the experienced Letterbox cacher, but hopefully gives the newbies an idea of how to look for a projected waypoint.

The cache is a Peanut butterjar (square lock and lock as of Jan 3/21) with a logbook and rabbit stamp (forgot to put a stamp in the Lock and lock)(the stamp needs to stay with the cache)
