Feeding Station - HT Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

TheAwesomePenguins: Time to let this trail go for someone to hide some new caches. April 1, 2018 we hid the ones along this section of trail. Almost 7 years. Lokking forward to seeing some new hides from someone. Container removed.

Future hiders would be advised to not go up too high on this hill. Farmer in property close by not always friendly wth cachers. He thinks trail is his property

Geocache Description:

This is the newest section of the Hickson Trail (HT). It was once part of a rail line that ran from Stratford to Port Dover. Over the years it has overgrown and remained unpassable. In the fall of 2017 a committee of volunteers started to clear the trail and raise money to buy 2 "bridges" to put over the creek in 2 separate spots along the trail. These"bridges" are made from de-commissioned transport truck beds, that have had deck boards and railings attached to enable their use as a bridge.

This Trail can be muddy at times and there are a few spots used by tractors from neighboring farms. You are welcome to hike or bike this trail but MOTORIZED VEHICLES are NOT ALLOWED at any time. At each end of this 3km long section of trail (from Braemar Siderod north up to Hickson), there is a post at the side of the trail where there is bird seed and walking sticks. If you use a walking stick, please leave it at the other end of the trail for someone else to enjoy on their hike.

My wife was on the trail while I was hiding this one and she got spooked; by the cows feeding just a few metres away. Hence the name. You might see a whole bunch of cows having lunch while you find this one, and maybe you won't.
