Up the Wooden Hill Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

DeeGee26: It's been fun, but it's been reported missing, I can't find it, and as the kids aren't too keen on Geocaching any more, I can't devote solo time to this hobby, so I'll archive it now so someone else can have a go if they want to put something there.

Geocache Description:

The cache is hidden in the Yoakley Land next to Aylesford Recreation Ground, and behind a supermarket distribution centre. When I was young this was known as the "Ballast Pit" and so I reckon it was probably an old quarry. It's changed beyond recognition from thirty years ago when I grew up in a house backing onto this bit of land, and then it was my playground.

The council have added steps, and fences, and lifebelts since then, and it's a much safer place to play.

This cache is hidden in the woods, but not deep in the woods, it's accessible from a wooden staircase that's been built, and from the summit of the wooden hill you'll see simultaneously the country view of a field full of horses and the urban site of the supermarket depot. The water near here used to be full of broken down white goods, but is now a place of nature. Take care of your footing and look out for small children with you.

You're looking for a small bison tube with a log in it. You'll need to bring your own pen.
