We've decided to place a cache in honor of our first date!
On February 20th, 2017, a rainy Monday night, Bryce made the drive up from Little Rock while I drove across town from my apartment. The following Tuesday, Bryce was told that he would be moving by the end of the week from Little Rock to St. Paul, MN, for work. After he gave me the news, I quickly decided that distance would not be a problem if what we had between us was meant to last. Fast forward a year later and things couldn't be better (aside from wishing we weren't always several hundred miles apart)!
Over the course of the next month, we had spent hours on the phone every night and I had already flown to St. Paul to visit once. A week after my visit, Bryce was flying into Dallas to meet me for a music festival I had made the drive to attend. That Saturday, on March 25th, he stopped to ask me when it was we had had a specific conversation before he had left Arkansas. I pulled out my phone to look at the calendar.
It was the morning on February 25th, before starting his drive to Minnesota. He had asked me, "Would you want to be my girlfriend?"
"Sure," I replied, and nothing more was said until exactly a month later. He then decided that we should backtrack a month and call February 25th the official start to our relationship.
...and what better way to celebrate spending a year together than revisiting where we met and placing a geocache there?!
Update: *Engaged on Dec. 7th, 2018 & Married on Aug. 10, 2019*
The cache is a quick park & grab set up like most parking lot caches. Enjoy!
