May the fourth was Star Wars Day. So, this month we're examining the moons of Tatooine... a planet that not only is far, far away but has two suns and three moons. According to Wookiepedia (I'm not making this up), the moons of Tatooine are Ghomrassen, Guermessa and Chenini. Although Tatooine's binary suns make the planet oppressively hot, it is still inhabited. When queried by a visitor about the location of Tatooine, Luke Skywalker, a native of Tatooine, responded, "Well, if there's a bright center to the universe, you're on the planet that it's farthest from."
For any geocachers curious about how the Star Wars creators came up with the moons' names, they are real villages in Tataouine Governate in Tunisia, where many Tatooine scenes were filmed.
