Qui? (Not) Britain's 12th Most Remote Event Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

Simply Paul: All TBs logged out, everyone who attended has logged (except Team Hippo, I think?) - Time to archive this morning meet over breakfast. Thanks for joining me for a very local event (as these go, for me!) and I hope to see you at something a bit more demanding next summer. I've identified a possible spot in Scotland, handy for the Mega...

Geocache Description:

A Sunday morning meet over a hot (or cold) breakfast to set you up for a busy day's early summer caching. I'm not going anywhere remote this summer so I'll be eating bad things to cheer myself up :)

Where: Aylesbury Tuck cafe. 12-13 Edison Road, Aylesbury, HP19 8TE. 01296 487988.

When: Sunday June 3rd 2018. 10.30am 'til Noon (food served 'til 11.30am).

Why: Since 2007 I've held a 'Remote' cache meet somewhere appropriate in the UK in June or July, while on a caching holiday mission. However, this year I've committed to too many overseas trips to be able to justify a jaunt to... Under normal sequence conditions, the Channel Islands (2010, 2014) but I jumped ahead with a week on Alderney in a sea fort with other cachers in March this year instead.

This is the 12th (and last?) in a series of Remote events. The others being:

11. 2017 at Dunnet Head (Mainland Britain's most northerly point),
10. 2016 on White Island, St Martin's (IoS most northerly),
9. 2015 on Mull (atop only island Munro not on Skye. Mull's highest point),
8. 2014 on Jersey (tidal island),
7. 2013 on Skye (a non-event at the InPinn),
6. 2012 on Bryher (IoS/England's most westerly),
5. 2011 on Eigg, Small Isles (An Sgurr, Eigg's highest point),
4. 2010 south of Jersey (tidal island, Britain's most southerly-ish),
3. 2009 on Unst, Shetlands (overlooking Muckle Flugga. Scotland/UK's most northerly),
2. 2008 on St Agnes (IoS/England/UK's most southerly) and
1. 2007 on St Kilda in the outer, outer Hebrides (UK's most westerly).

The 2017 event also concluded (TBC) my trip around the British mainland coast's extreme points, which included:

2017 England's Most Northerly Event
2015 Scotland's Most Southerly Event
2013 Meet at the End (Mainland Scotland/Britain's most Westerly)
2017 Wester is Bester - Skye (Mainland Britain's other most Westerly?)
2012 SP's Final Extreme? (Lizard Point, Cornwall. Mainland England/Britain's most Southerly)
2011 Eastly Does It! (Lowestoft. Mainland England/Britain's most Easterly)

Who: Cachers from far and wide. Sorry, no dogs allowed, apart from Assistance Dogs. New to caching or cache meets? You'll be made especially welcome.

What: A random meet, somewhere random. Doesn't that sound like a caching sort of thing? Also, ample free parking. And chips. Lots of chips...
