Geocache Description:

I am placing a series of puzzle caches about people whom I admire. All final coords are easy terrain, often P&Gs. Regarding the road you find yourself on: I walk it with my dog. In fact, that is how I hid the caches, taking a walk with Zammis.

Tom is a consummate example of one person can make a difference. He saw a problem: there were almost no American Kestrels (a small falcon) to be seen anymore. He addressed the problem by setting up hundreds of nest boxes and learning through trial and error what helped the nesting kestrels. There are now many kestrels living near Tom and the process is slowly being adopted in our area.

1. How many acres of contiguous open grassland is needed around nesting boxes?

10 (099)     20 (373)        30 (421)

2. On the website, click on "Pictures". How many nestlings are in the box?

5 (125)        6 (639)        7 (570)

The answers to the questions can be found here: Tom Sayers

The final coordinates are:

N 43* 47. (answer to #1)

W 070* 59.(answer to #2)
