Lisa's Lookout and the Lisa Killough Trail were placed in honor and memory of Lisa Killough. According to the interpretive plaque at this location, Lisa Killough had a 25 year career with the Santa Clara County Parks, working her way up the ranks until she became department director in 2002. During her tenure, her work resulted in major expansion to the county parks, adding about 300 miles recreational trails and preserving 10,000 acres of parkland.
From the Rancho San Vicente entrance of Calero County Park, this viewpoint is about a 3 mile hike with about 500 feet elevation gain. The climb is gentle throughout. The trail is mostly exposed, with a few shady stretches. Once here, there are two picnic tables where you can eat your lunch and enjoy the views.
Park hours are from 8:00am to sunset. Trail hours are from sunrise to sunset. Dogs on leash and bicycles are allowed in all areas of this park. Watch out for ticks and rattlesnakes.
