One of a series of caches alongside the urban portion of the K&P Trail.
Douglas Ronald Fluhrer was the city's commissioner of parks and recreation for nearly 36 years and is credited with the acquisition and dedication of more than 70 parks. This riverside park was named for him after his death in 2014.
