This cache is located along the old Derby Canal, situated just off the path but visible from it. Stealth may not be required as it is a decent distance from the road along the footpath. If you carry along the footpath you will reach Spondon Railway station along the Sheffield to London St Pancras Service.
The canel is currently being restored by the Derby and Sandiacre Canal Society; it hopes to return the route from swarkstone into a fully functional waterway.
