Nice spot along the Cottle Trail to sit and enjoy the view of Calero Reservoir. The hike to this bench is about 1-1/2 miles from the Rancho San Vicente trailhead of Calero County Park and travels mainly along a ridge. Much of the trail is lightly shaded. Lots of wildflowers can be seen throughout during the springtime.
Park hours are from 8:00am to sunset. Trail hours are from sunrise to sunset. Dogs on leash and bicycles are allowed in all areas of this park. Watch out for ticks and rattlesnakes. Poison oak nearby but was easily avoidable when the cache was placed.
The cache is in a small spice bottle.
