THE USA 50 STATE STAR GEOART celebrating every state in the USA

State Fact: Thanks for visiting the Illinois Star. Not every person, place or weirdness made the state facts. Honorable mentions: The band Chicago had 20 top-ten singles. Bob Newhart started as an accountant in Chicago. Dan Castellanta (Homer Simpson) was born in Chicago and attended college in DeKalb. DeKalb was once known as the barbed wire capital of the world. Chicago dyes its river green for St. Patrick's day. Richard Pryor and Dan Fogelberg were from Peoria, different neighborhoods, different times. Walt Disney was born in Chicago. Sci-fi author Phillip Jose Farmer grew up in Peoria and wrote many of his stories there. The state's most popular nature attraction, Starved Rock State Park, Oglesby, is named for an extended battle between rival native tribes. If you have a suggestion for cache #51, post a note.
Credit: For some state facts, there is a geocache there. As a result, some of the state facts came from caching trips and personal observations. Thanks geocaching for sending me there.
The final has a free souvenir, of small value, a momento related to Illinois. Please take just one. To find the final, solve the clues using the state facts from the other 49 caches.
