METHODIST, OMPTON
Ompton Methodist Chapel was built in 1860 and opened on November 4th 1860 by Reverend H. Knowles of Retford.
The building measures 21ft x 15ft. It is also 13ft floor to ceiling.
An inscription stone reads, 'Primitive Methodist Jubilee Chapel 1860'.
Today, Ompton Methodist is in the Sherwood Forest Methodist Circuit along with 17 other churches.
This is by far and away the smallest Church Micro I own and I would suggest this is one of the smallest churches in the whole series nationally. I would be very interested if someone could come up with a smaller one.
