I started the Johnny Appleseed series about three months ago as I watched my caching karma droop over the years, and felt the need to give back, and explore the local trails in a different perspective. Since those 50 caches were placed, my karma has doubled from 0.35 to over 0.70, so I'm starting round two, sprinkling caches along the trails just a bit farther from home.
This cache is off a game trail off the Upper High Meadow Trail of Rancho San Antonio, one of the busiest parks in Silicon Valley. It is past the junction with Upper Wildcat Trail. You've gotten Upper Higher about now, about 1300 feet. I've left waymarks for two places to find the game trail off Upper High Meadow so that you don't have to scramble up the sensitive grass meadow. The cache is about 12 feet into the brush opening off the trail. See hint if more help is needed.
