Geocache Description:

What personality type are you? Let's do a test and find out!

This is a letterbox hybrid cache where you need to follow the instructions below to find the location of the cache. It should only take around 5 minutes before you are hunting for the cache at GZ. You need to follow these rules:

  1. Follow the paths, do not leave them.
  2. Paths can be big gravel paths or goat tracks - look for wherever people walk and have made a track. If you are unsure check out the map below.
  3. Whenever you reach a fork (or a path offshoots from your path) you need to make a decision which way to go by answering the next question. There is no right or wrong answer.
  4. If you come to a 4-way intersection, just ignore it and walk straight through. Check the map below for clarification.
  5. After your 4th decision, walk 5 to 15 metres along your chosen path and find a metal cable tie around either a metal stake or a small tree. They are not hidden, I have placed them in the most obvious spot. The cable tie will tell you your 4-letter personality code and give you 2 numbers. Subtract the first number from the posted South coords and add the second number to the posted east coords to find the final. It is within the reserve only a short walk away.
  6. Go and find the final cache and read the book to find out about your personality type. Use the stamp and pad inside the container to stamp the logbook and/or your own letterboxing journal. Sign the log and let us know in your online log what personality type you are!

Note: One of the paths (I'm looking at you extroverted and sensing people!) can get very muddy after heavy rain. You can still follow the path but just need to walk along the log a little bit)

Okay, let's get started: You should be roughly at the posted coordinates, standing on a path. Face south, you should be looking towards a sign "from Bugs to Beauty". Do not start walking forward yet - your first decision will send you either left or right.

Decision 1: Are you an introvert or an extrovert?

Introverts are reserved and private, prefer slower pace, tend to think things though in their heads and would rather observe than be the centre of attention. Extroverts are talkative and outgoing, like fast-paced environments, tend to think out loud with others, and enjoy being the centre of attention.Go left for introvert, go right for extrovert (don't go straight ahead)

Decision 2: Are you sensing or intuitive?

Sensing people focus on the reality of how things are, pay attention to concrete facts, prefer ideas that have practical applications, and like to describe things in a specific & literal way. Intuitive people imagine the possibilities of how things could be, notice the big picture, enjoy ideas and concepts for their own sake, and like to describe things in a poetic way. Go left for sensing, go right for intuitive

Decision 3: Are you thinking or feeling?

Thinking people make decisions in an impersonal way using logic, value justice and fairness, enjoy finding flaws in an argument, and could be described as level-headed. Feeling people base decisions on personal values and how actions will affect others, value harmony and forgiveness, like to please others, and could be described as warm and empathetic. Go left for thinking, go right for feeling

Decision 4: Are you judging or perceiving?

Judging people prefer to have matters settled, think rules and deadlines should be respected, prefer to have detailed instructions, and make plans and want to know what they are getting into. Perceiving people prefer to leave their options open, see rules and deadlines as flexible, like to improvise as they go along, and are spontaneous and enjoy surprises and new situations. Go left for judging, go right for perceiving.

Congratulations to The Welder for the FTF!
