Clean up the beach at Moor Road, Kilkeel on 28th April 2017 @ 11.00am and be part of the Spring International CITO extravaganza! (Hopefully there'll be a souvenir too).
“lend a hand to improve the geocaching game board (i.e. planet Earth)"
The beach itself is mostly unsuitable for buggies, young children and anyone with mobility difficulties (though there is a more suitable track just above the beach).
Go to the end of Moor Road, turn to the left and park. Please park considerately as (hopefully) there may be many cars.
Litter pickers & bags etc will be provided on the day. Please bring gloves if you have them.
We can't guarantee the weather but you can be sure of a cuppa, biccie cake and a bit of craic after the clean-up. A few travel bugs & geocoins may even emerge to be discovered or grabbed! If you wish really hard the cache fairy may wave her magic wand and a new cache may appear on the day…so be extra good!
This CITO will also contribute to research on sea-bourne litter. Nicola from KNIB will away celebrating her wedding anniversary but we'' be joined by the folk from the Mourne Trust who'll take all the rubbish away fro us..
There will hopefully be further CITOs over the coming year so if you can’t make this one you may make it to another.
