Gonna hit the trails again, after given a great bill of health from my cardiologist.
Need a good challenging trail. Father Troy.
But the Father Troy Trail is not really challenging, you say. I reply: Have you gone beyond Whale Cove?
It's an awesome trail, up and down, twisting around trails and brooks. I was looking forward to the challenge that I know. I even remembered that there was an "easy" choice and a more "difficult" choice just before Church Cove. Trust me: The difficult path (as often in life) is better. The scenery is worth the effort, and the gratification afterward is greater. So: hiking boots on, let's get on the go...
Yet...
Remember it's mid April... on the East Coast... I forgot to think of the possibility of ... Ice, ice, Baby!
Now, don't get me wrong: It was an amazing afternoon on the trail. The funny part for me is that my "crusade" for a great hike became an "Ice Crusade", as Gary Larson once described in this Far Side classic:

The cache is a classic camo'd 500mL container, containing a TB upon initial hide. Winter friendly and Ice Crusade friendly. :)
Just be careful, ok?

Enjoy!
