Enjoy a forest/field edge that gives you many opportunities to view birds, butterflies, and even bats if you’re lucky enough to be here at dusk. Be sure to visit the Blendon Woods Metro Park Nature Center between this cache and the one on our Uncover Metro Parks GeoTour. Be sure to check out the other 18 caches that are part of this year's GeoTrail.
Water is one of the most destructive forces in nature. Erosion created the Grand Canyon, and it created the small dip you’re standing in now. This water seeps from the surrounding neighborhoods and is heading towards Big Walnut Creek along Cherry Bottom Road.
To participate in the Metro Park GeoTrail go to Columbus Metro Parks GeoTrail to find complete instructions. Download and print the GeoTrail page and complete at least 15 GeoTrail caches. As you find the caches, fill in the code words on the GeoTrail page. The first 100 teams to return their forms are eligible to receive a Metro Parks Geocoin. You will need all 19 clues to complete the puzzle and unlock the coordinates of the Bonus Puzzle Cache. Mark your calendar for the GeoTrail Celebration on October 5th.
