DEE WRIGHT OBSERVATORY - LOOKING NORTHWEST AT SUNSET
This series of Challenge Geocaches has been placed by the Central Oregon Geocaching Group (C.O.G.G.) and is not meant to be difficult to find. The caches are located on a road with minimal traffic, but cars do come by periodically (mostly during “commute hours”). Park on the side of the road and be careful. It should take only a short time to find and sign the log.
As there is a checker provided, you will know whether you qualify at the time you log. If you qualify on the date you sign the log, then that is the date of your find. If you sign the log sheet before meeting the requirements, just post a note stating that you signed the log and don't meet the requirements, then log your find on the day the requirements have been met.
The 3.5 difficulty rating is based on having do some traveling although it can be completed in 3 states; ID, OR, and WA; the terrain rating of 1.5 is based solely on this cache location. These challenges are not intended to have a variety of D/T ratings.
The Challenge

For this challenge you must find a cache in each of 15 different US counties (or Louisiana Parishes), named with the last name of 15 different former US Presidents.
If you choose to use two different presidents with the same last name (Adams, Harrison, Roosevelt, Johnson, & Bush), you must use two DIFFERENT states (i.e. Adams Co PA, and Adams Co ID). Although there are 31 states with counties named Washington, you may only count one of them towards this challenge. Although 24 presidents have counties in the United states named after them, there are 6 states that have counties named after individuals that have the same name as a president. (These count.)
You may sign the log prior to completing these requirements and log it as a note. When you have met the requirements, then log it as a "Found" and receive your smiley. As there is a checker provided, you may cut and paste the results in your log just to speed things up for verification on our end. An image of your check mark on the checker is good enough evidence for us.
