Geocache Description:


Head for the Millstone Picnic Area of Rocky Fork Metro Park to begin the first stage of this puzzle cache.

Start at the information sign near the mill stone at N40 07.144 W082 47.769 where you will find the information needed to solve for the final. Be sure to check out the other 18 caches that are part of this year's GeoTrail.

A and C; “at their peak, mills along the Rocky Fork produced A000-C000 board feet of lumber every 24 hours.”

 

B = the number of people at Parker Tippet’s house,  minus 1.

 

D = the second number of the year in the paragraph about the Emerald Ash Borer.

 

E = the number of letters in the wood used for flooring, minus 2.

 

F = the number of tree leaf types depicted, minus 3.

As you find the caches, fill in the code words on the GeoTrail page. The first 100 teams to return their forms are eligible to receive a Metro Parks Geocoin. You will need all 19 clues to complete the puzzle and unlock the coordinates of the Bonus Puzzle Cache. Mark your calendar for the GeoTrail Celebration on October 5th.
