Once a family farm called “Oldfield,” this property co-owned by the Mattapoisett Land Trust and the Rochester Land Trust is now maintained for birds — and explorers like you! Follow a trail around a hayfield and through the forest to discover freshwater wetlands, a riverside picnic area, and a scenic holly grove.
Trails
The trail at Shoolman Preserve begins at the parking area on New Bedford Road, Rochester, Ma. This is a flat, easy trail that’s perfect for anyone to get a breath of fresh air. The nearby farmhouse and home are privately owned, so please respect the neighbors. (Download trail map)
