Prairie Dog - aka ground squirrel - a 12-16" long burrowing rodent that lives in large colonies mainly in the central and western USA grasslands - they give a warning "bark" when danger approaches and then they all scurry down into their holes, which are all connected by underground tunnels.
Placed on Redbank Valley Trails with permission. Trail is open dawn to dusk. This trail won PA's 2014 Trail of the Year award. Terrain rating is mainly because you can hike/bike into this cache from many different parking areas - only the closest one is listed in the additional waypoints.
