33 Mile is a place I have spent a lot of time. For many this is a stopping point on the iconic Haines Highway. Not so much for me though. I come here to wait for helicopters to deliver me to the dream world of skiing that exists in abundance just over them there hills. If you're from Haines you'd say this was "out the road". I have spent hours here practicing patience, calmness, gratitude, and reflection. Almost lost my life skiing in these mountains a few days ago and here I sit waiting for my next chance. Enjoy this cache whether you are passing through grabbing a burger, celebrating over a beer after skiing or of course if you're like me and need to kill some time while you enjoy this place. If you're lucky you'll the resident goat Domino, he likes food and dancing on tables, he does not like lighters so if you need him to get out of your bubble just flick your lighter and that should correct his behavior.
