Twenty years ago this beautiful reserve was grazed by cattle and choked by willows. Now, however, it is lovely and is absolutely my favourite local short walk. Decades of dedicated work has gone into restoring the area and you can now see plants self-seeding and nature taking over.
From the Home Creek car park, cross the stile into the reserve and walk about walk 10 minutes along the track in an anticlockwise direction. The track is good BUT beware as you can slip on the gravel track surface on the little hills.
When the track begins to drop down to a bridge, stop. Enjoy the view! The cache is hidden up the slope at ground level a few metres off the track to your right.
