Favourite Challenge Mystery Cache

The cache is placed beside the Tilesheds Nature Reserve. It is named this as Cleadon's original industry was small scale (by today's standards) brick and tile works. Closer in to the village, halfway up the hill to the village centre, is a small residential complex called Sandgrove and Low Sandgrove. These houses occupy a similar extraction site to this except they removed part of the hill rather than creating a pond as here. Prior to the seventies there were numerous ponds dotted around here but all but this were drained and landfilled by the local authority.

The pond is now a Local Nature Reserve and features a variety of water based birds, many of whom hide in the abundant reeds. It might be worth practising CITO here. When I placed the cache there was a stack of rubbish beside the bin. My litter picker was really helpful in clearing things up.

The Challenge

A find can be claimed by signing the log and providing evidence of finding 10 caches (or fewer) with at least 10,000 favourites between them. These finds can be from any time, place or type. As with any challenge, the CO must have completed it. I have done so thanks to a trip to Prague. Remember though, if you are close to the number required, that favourites can be removed as well as awarded as some cachers re-allocate favourites, particularly from archived caches. At the time of placing here is my listing totaling 11,004 favourites from the top 10 favourited caches.
