Let's geocache and play ball!!! Do you enjoy an evening at the ball park? Want to visit a historic ball field?
Whether you've been geocaching in the Berkshires earlier today, or just getting into town for the week of geocaching fun and adventures, please join us for a quick Meet & Greet to share our geocaching stories before the FCBL Pittsfield Suns game against the Bristol Blues at historic Wahconah Park. We will enjoy a quick tailgate party in the parking lot from 4 pm - 4:45 pm.
Wahconah Park is a city-owned baseball park located in Pittsfield, Massachusetts and nestled in a working-class neighborhood. One of the last remaining ballparks in the United States with a wooden grandstand, it was constructed in 1919 and seats 4,500. Through the park's history, 201 different Pittsfield players went on to the Major Leagues, and 100 different Pittsfield players already had some Major League experience. The park was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.
This will be Berkshire Geobash Night at the game and any geocachers who would like to stay to watch the game will be guests of the Pittsfield Suns. Attendance is free, but everyone is responsible for their own refreshments.
Hoping to "see you at the game!"
