Filonnets et crochons

Interprétation de l’affleurement


Un filonnet est un petit filon ou veine de minéral, interne à la roche de la paroi et mis en relief par la dissolution de la roche l'encaissant.

On nomme crochons; des courbures qui permettent de définir le sens de déplacement des compartiments.

Les crochons indiquent que les roches ont un comportement ductile. Mais pour qu'il y ait formation de crochons il faut nécessairement que -les mouvements se fassent suffisamment lentement pour permettre cette déformation plastique.
Sur la figure, les couches du compartiment de gauche sont fléchies vers le haut au voisinage immédiat de la faille. Elles indiquent que le compartiment de gauche est celui qui soit est descendu soit est resté en place alors que le compartiment de droite montait
 


Questions

Vous êtes face à un plissement qui s’est produit au paléozoïque et qui a concerné des couches de schistes.
Derrière le cache rouge .
Question 1:
Combien comptez vous de filonnets et quelle est la nature du minéral les composant?
Question 2:
la faille la plus à gauche comporte un crochon, d’après votre observation quel fut le mouvement des deux blocs de roches situés de part et d’autre des lèvres de la faille ?

Joindre à votre log (PAS à vos réponses) une photo de vous, votre GPS, votre GC perso ou tout autre objet de geocaching aux coordonnées de la cache. Sans montrer les réponses bien sûr !

Les simples photos de paysage ne permettent pas de valider cette condition de log.

Veinlets and ductile shear zone

 

Interpreting the outcrop
A veinlet is a small vein or vein of mineral, internal to the rock of the wall and highlighted by the dissolution of the rock encircling it.

We call ductile shear zone curvatures that define the direction of movement of the compartments.
The ductile shear zone indicate that the rocks have a ductile behavior. But for there to be formation of ductile shear zone it is necessary that the movements be made slowly enough to allow this plastic deformation.
In the figure, the layers of the compartment on the left are bent upward in the immediate vicinity of the fault. They indicate that the compartment on the left is the one that either went down or stayed in place while the compartment on the right rose .
 

Questions

You are facing a Paleozoic folding that involved layers of shale.
Behind the red cover.
Question 1:
How much do you count of veinlets and what is the nature of the mineral composing them ?
Question 2: the leftmost fault has a ductile shear zone, according to your observation what was the movement of the two blocks of rocks located on both sides of the fault's lips?

Attach to your log (NOT to your answers) a photo of you, your GPS, your personal GC or any other geocaching object at the posted coordinates. Without showing the answers of course !

The simple photos of the landscape do not validate this log condition.
