Congrats FTF Big Read & Muggle Mark

Opossums are omnivores, solitary creatures and have a maximum speed of 7 mph. They are 1.8-14 pounds, 14-37" long and live between 2-4 years. The gestation period last a mere 11-13 days producing 8-20 babies, most commonly 8-9 babies are born. The babies are no larger than a bee or a dime weighing 0.13 grams. They are also born hairless. Likely the best thing about Opossums, especially to an outdoor enthusiast, is they destroy 90% of all ticks they come in contact with & can eat an average of 5,000 ticks in one season.
