The crossroad in question is where the old lane from Preston to Pirton (via Offley Holes and Wibbly Wobbley Lane) intersects the Charlton to Offley byway. These two 'roads' are ancient and predate the metalled highways by several hundred years. There used to be a magnetic cache here, but that has been long gone, and there is a gap on the caching map as a result. It obviously had to be replaced. You are looking for the usual 35mm film pot (with a log and my usual coin to provide some weight), but you will have to depend on touch to find this, and it also involves the much-hated, but very useful, ivy and the base of a tree.
