In 1976, The Stevenage Development Corporation and an artist called Simon Jones, designed and placed a series of concreate statues around the Symonds Green area.
Then in 2016 these were refurbished after 40 years. They were painted and restored by the Symonds Green Scout group (including myself), Simon Jones and Andy Hills (an architect at Stevenage Borough Council). Now they are back to their original glory.
I made this cache to highlight them as a piece of history from Symonds Green and encourage as many people as possible to come to see them. Please note before you start the trail... -The walk takes just over an hour to complete -Its compulsory to check the waypoints from this cache, so please do so. - There are a nice few pubs to stop at on root as well. Hope you enjoy your caching. Max
