Following the success of the Saturday Puzzle Clubs (and a request from cachers who are unable to attend on a Saturday), I am now pleased to be hosting an extra one on a Sunday at a different venue. If you would like to get together with other cachers to solve some tricky puzzles, then come and join us at Puzzle Club. Or if you are a local puzzle CO or have solved any puzzles and would like to share your tips with others, we would be particularly pleased to welcome you at:
The Northney Farm Tea Rooms
This is a family-friendly venue, with free parking and free wifi. The café is open to the public from 10am. The address is St Peter's Road, Northney, Hayling Island and the postcode for your satnav is PO11 0SE. Please note the alternative venue address; this is NOT our usual venue, which will does not open on a Sunday. We will meet from
10am to 12 noon on SUNDAY 3rd June
...although you are welcome to stay longer. We will start in the barn extension area and can spread out to the picnic benches outside, if the weather is nice. There will also be the usual opportunities to swap and discover trackables. Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the barn extension area (NOT the main cafe section where food orders are placed) and outside, too.
What to bring with you
While the café does have free wifi, like any free service at a public venue, this doesn't have massive bandwidth for heavy use by many people at once. Therefore, if you don't have your own mobile data plan, I would recommend that in addition to any laptops, phones and tablets which will help with research, that you also bring 3 or 4 printouts of specific individual puzzle caches you would like to work on. Once we all get going, Google response times could be slower than what you're used to at home. Bring a pen or pencil too, so you can make notes on your printouts to help you remember.
For any regular attendees who enjoy our Saturday Puzzle Clubs, please note that this event is in addition to, not as an alternative to, the usual (and mostly regular) Saturday Puzzle Club events normally held at The Spring Arts and Heritage Centre. These Saturday events will continue as before approximately once every 2 or 3 months.
