The 1986 movie, “Stand By Me”, is one of my all-time favorites. It is based on a Stephen King Novel The Body. The movie features four friends Gordie, Chris, Teddy and Vern. After learning of the general location of the body of a local boy who has been missing for several days, these 12-year-old boys set off into woods to see it. Along the way, they learn about themselves, the meaning of friendship and the need to stand up for what is right.
Every time I visit this location it always brings back memories of the movie. If you have seen the movie it will easily stir nostalgia for you when you get here. Hope you enjoy trivia and the view!
