L'Ile Balzac est situé sur le Cher entre le quartier des Rives du Cher et le quartier des Fontaines, ce parc de 24 hectares est accessible par des passerelles piétonnes, c'est un lieu de détente et de nature. On y découvre un petit parc animalier , un espace de sports , une aire de jeux pour les enfants et une rivière artificielle. La rivière permet aux poissons migrateurs (anguille, alose , lamproie)de remonter le Cher par des passes ; elle permet également de pratiquer les sports d'eaux vives.

Ile Balzac is located on the Cher between the district of Rives du Cher and the district of Fountains, this park of 24 hectares is accessible by footbridges, it is a place of relaxation and nature. We discover a small animal park, a sports area, a playground for children and an artificial river. The river allows migratory fish (eel, shad, lamprey) to go up the Cher by passes; it also allows you to practice white water sports.
