Puget Sound Energy: Jack Hyde Park Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

PugetSoundEnergy: This cache continually goes MIA because of the open area and muggles. We'll come up with something new soon. Thanks

Geocache Description:

Welcome to Jack Hyde Park, part of Metro Parks Tacoma. Puget Sound Energy and Metro Parks Tacoma have partnered to create some new caches in the vicinity and highlight their community parks. The cache is not located anywhere that would impact it at high tide. Please do not trample the landscaping as the cache is NOT located anywhere in the trees or bushes. Have fun!

Located on the water's edge in Old Town, this park was renamed for a former Tacoma mayor and leader in developing the Ruston Way waterfront.
Jack Hyde Park was initially purchased by the City of Tacoma from the Tacoma Boatbuilding Company in 1972. The park expanded to five acres with additional land purchases in 1973 and 1976. Old Town dock, which is part of the overall park area, was originally acquired before World War I.
